There is a way to stretch objects in Vectorworks...

Select the object you want to adjust.

Click on the Reshape tool.

Click & Drag a selection box only around the points/vertices of the object you want to move. At the end of this selection action just release the mouse button - Don't actually click.

Then you should see a grey, dotted marquee box around the part that will get stretched.

Click & Drag while your cursor is inside that grey, dotted marquee and the parts inside the marquee will stretch.
