If you're running an older version of Vectorworks, you may not be aware of the great features you are missing. You may feel that the version you're using is good enough for your needs. However each new release includes LOTS of great new features and existing feature enhancements that are beneifical to both 2D and 3D users. Without a doubt, if you were using a newer version, there would be a number of features that would make it easier and more enjoyable for you to create better looking drawings, models or renderings.
