Basically, no.

By working on files that are hosted on a server, you are relying on a lot of other hardware, software and cables (or wifi signals) to read from and save to the original file. This will almost certainly make Vectorworks appear slow or faulty, sometimes a little or sometimes a lot, even though it's not actually the fault of Vectorworks.

If you are working directly on a server, and you are having speed or crashing issues with Vectorworks, try moving your Vectorworks file to your own computer and then test again for the file issues. If the issues are gone, then the problem lies with your network and you should discuss the matter with your I.T. people. If the issue persists even when the file is located on your own computer, then please submit a tech support request and include the file so we can investigate.

Writing to a server from any application can cause corruption of the file if the network connection is stalled or disconnected for any reason.  This also can simply happen when a file cannot be written to as fast as the application is trying to write the file to the remote location.
