You most certainly can and Vectorworks is great for interior design!
First, if you are working in interior design, we recommend using Vectorworks Architect.
We recommend the Architect module because it contains Walls, Doors and Windows objects, among many other objects, that are key to shaping the spaces that you will design within.
Then, equipped with Vectorworks Architect you can:
- Import and/or build up the space you will be designing within, including walls, windows, doors, trims, flooring, etc
- Add furniture and other objects that are either already part of Vectorworks libraries
- Import objects (either 2D, 3D or both) from suppliers
- Create your own objects with great 2D drawings and 3D modelling tools
- Add textures to objects
- Add lighting to scenes
- Set 3D views for scenes
- Create renderings, all the way from sketch-like views to fully photoreal views
- And so much more...
