Vectorworks (like most Mac applications) relies on the underpinnings of the full Mac OS to operate. Apple's iOS is fine for less demanding apps but not for something like the full version of Vectorworks. Depending on what you do in meeting though, the iOS app Vectorworks Nomad works great on the iPad. Nomad is mainly a viewing app so it may do what you need. (It's also worth looking at Vectorworks Remote, which is an app that can act as a "palette screen" for the full Vectorworks application.)
As an aside, another reason that Vectorworks wouldn't be suitable for a touch screen like an iPad is that drafting/modelling with one's fingertips is a rather "challenging" experience... our fingertips simply aren't as precise as an on-screen cursor.
