The answer depends on where the watermarks came from and what kind of license you have.

To elaborate:

- Watermarks are placed in Vectorworks files that have been created by a Student license of Vectorworks. Vectorworks provides students free licenses ONLY to complete their academic coursework while in a recognized academic program. It is a fantastic way for a student to learn how powerful a tool Vectorworks is, in order to prepare them for their professional career after graduation.

- The watermark is there to prevent these licenses from being used in a professional office or for professional work outside of school. For professional work, it is expected that a Vectorworks user purchases a Professional license.

Therefore:

- If you are a student who has graduated from your academic program, and you take advantage of the amazing Student2Pro offer, in your first 60 days of owning your Pro license you may have up to 10 of your academic Vectorworks files un-watermarked in order to assist you with building your portfolio.

- If you are a student who has done work for a professional firm outside of your academic coursework - No, you may not have these files unwatermarked.

- If you are a professional Vectorworks license owner (with or without the Service Select Maintenance Program) and you receive watermarked Vectorworks files from a student, and those files contain work-related material that you would like to have non-watermarked access to - No, you may not have these files unwatermarked.

If you have any questions about this or about your particular circumstance, please submit a technical support request and we can help clarify.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Professional Vectorworks license owner and you use a student watermarked file, or any part of a student watermarked file, your previously unwatermarked, professional file will become watermarked. In order to have this watermark removed, an adequate explanation with a full set of requested details, will need to be submitted in order to process the watermark removal request. Removal of watermarks in cases such as these is at the discretion of Vectorworks Inc.
